CSE Federal Credit Union Receives Five Awards For Outstanding Marketing Achievements

Lake Charles, La.— CSE Federal Credit Union (CSE) was recently presented with five awards as part of the Marketing Association of Credit Unions (MAC) 2022 “MAC Awards”.

CSE received awards in the middle assets class ($501 Million to $999 Million) in the categories of Newsletters, Annual Reports, Business Development, Sponsorship/Partnership Marketing and Community Engagement. Design partnerships include Parker Brand Creative of Sulphur, LA, and PMD Group of Houston, TX.

In the Newsletter category, CSE received a Silver Award for the quarterly publication “Common Cents” which is published for Members and posted to the credit union’s website to promote important news and events.

In the Annual Report category, CSE received a Silver Award. CSE’s “Louisiana Strong” themed report focused on the community healing and rising together during a year filled with adversity. The report featured a watercolor painting of the Louisiana Boot created by CSE’s Business Development Specialist Amy Nyberg.

CSE received a Silver Award for “Peace, Love and Pasta- And CSE,” a complimentary event at Pasta Lab for CSE’s top Business Partners. Attendees received hands-on instruction on how to make pasta by Pasta Lab owner Michael Gardner.  The event served as an opportunity for CSE to thank Business Partners for promoting its products and services to their employees.

CSE’s efforts supporting the Real Men Wear Pink (RMWP) campaign for Southwest Louisiana was given a Bronze Award in the Sponsorship Marketing category. RMWP is a fundraising and awareness campaign benefiting the American Cancer Society's (ACS) breast cancer efforts. CSE representative Kyle Witt was chosen to be a RMWP candidate. As a play on the title “Real Men Wear Pink,” Kyle Witt came up with a “Real Pets Wear Pink” fundraiser helping him achieve his goal of $5,000. This campaign was a way for people to show off their pets dressed in pink by donating to Kyle’s fundraiser. Each entry was shared in Lagniappe Magazine and the pet with the most votes won a gift basket.

And finally, the “Relay for Life-Relay on the Road” event received a Gold Award. In 2021, The American Cancer Society presented “Relay on the Road,” which involved community partners like CSE hosting “drive-through” pit stops and raising $5,622.70. CSE’s 50s themed pit stop featured local 50s cover band Cry Baby, popcorn, root beer floats and fun!

“The MAC Awards have many outstanding contestants with brilliant work exemplified by each, and we’re proud to have received five awards while representing CSE. I’m honored to work with a team that strives to embody such creativity,” CSE Marketing/Business Development Director Colleen Desselle said.

The MAC awards have been presented since 1986 at the annual MAC Conference and this year the awards were presented in Chicago.
